Master Scuba Diver is PADI's highest recreational diver rating. This is where the best of the best come to play because the dive possibilities are endless. To become a Master Scuba Diver you must log 50 dives and complete the following courses:
PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
Five PADI Specialty Diver courses*

Prestige isn't easy to come by, but it is certanly well worth the effort. As a Master Scuba Diver, you'll have a whole new level of confidence whether you're diving local wrecks, quarries, reefs, or exploring exciting dive environments around the world. When you complete the Master Scuba Diver Challenge in 2008, your hard work will be rewarded with a customized Master Scuba Diver wall certificate and an embroidered Master Scuba Diver mesh bag from PADI.

*You can actually earn up to 5 PADI Specialty certifications over a weekend in Cozumel! It's easy to complete the Boat Diver, Drift Diver, and Night Diver certifications. You'll be making those dives anyway! Add on an Underwater Photographer, Digital Underwater Photographer, or one of the Project Aware courses, and either Enriched Air Diver or Equipment Specialist and you'll come home with 5 new certifications!
