DAN Fundraiser Lake Cleanup/Treasure Hunt! Thanks to everyone who joined us on Sunday, April 27, at Lake Murray. We picked up hundreds of pounds of cans, bottles, and other trash off the bottom of the lake, cleaned up a lot from the shoreline and campgrounds, had lot of fun, and gave out lots of really terrific prizes!

Anyone out there who has certification dives pending . . . Sunday, April 27, Lake Murray was 64 degrees at 30', with 8-10 feet of vis! Just terrific! Every Sunday we'll be offering Open Water Certification Dives to our Open Water Scuba students who need them, as well as for Advanced Open Water and Specialty courses. If you want to go diving, REMEMBER that you need to come to the shop a day or two beforehand (on Friday or Saturday) to try on your exposure suit. The Sunday schedule is as follows:
We'll meet at the shop @ 7am to pass out equipment, we head for the lake at 7:30 sharp, arrive at the lake @ 9am, make the dives we need to make, stop for lunch in Ardmore, head back to the shop to check in gear and do paperwork. Isn't this exciting?!?! |

Spring officially arrived about 2am this morning (Thursday, March 20)! So, It's time to get ready to dive!!! Get those regulators serviced, and don't forget the Air 2 on your BC; Make sure your exposure suit still fits properly, and is in usable condition; Check out those mask and fin straps, you might consider replacing the original straps with neoprene Slap Straps on your masks and Spring Straps on your fins.

We're just back from the DEMA (Dive Equipment and Marketing Association) trade show in Orlando, Florida. We attended some really interesting and educational classes and seminars, saw (and ordered) a lot of new dive gear and accessories, and had just an outstanding time. We attended a cocktail party hosted by PADI for their top Dive Centers and Resorts, where we rubbed elbows with the (other) movers and shakers in the PADI world. New stuff will be trickling into the store over the next few weeks, and some of the old stuff will be going on sale, so drop in and check things out! |
